Firemac FM Blue Testing

FIRE PERFORMANCE OF FIREMAC FM BLUE WALLS

All Firemac FM Blue wall systems have been independently tested or assessed to BS 476-22:1987 for fire attack from either face. Firemac FM Blue single-skin wall systems provide up to four hours' fire resistance (integrity) and Firemac FM Blue double-skin wall systems provide up to four hous' fire resistance (integrity and insulation). An appraisal of the range of walls systems, which includes a summary of the supporting test evidence, has been issued by Exova Warringtonfire. A copy of the report is available on request.

FIRE PERFORMANCE OF FIREMAC FM BLUE CEILINGS

Firemac FM Blue ceiling systems have been independently tested or assessed to BS 476-22:1987 or BS EN 1364-2:1999 for fire attack from below or above. This latter test standard is considered the more onerous of the two.

Firemac FM Blue self-supporting, single-skin ceiling systems provide up to four hours' fire resistance (four hours integrity and 1.5 hour insulation) and Firemac FM Blue double-skin suspended ceiling systems provide up to four hours' fire resistance (four hours integrity & two hours' insulation).

An appraisal of the range of ceiling systems, which includes a summary of the supporting test evidence, has been issued by Exova Warringtonfire. A copy of the report is available on request.

FIRE PERFORMANCE OF FIREMAC FM BLUE DUCTS

Firemac FM Blue ductwork systems have been independently tested or assessed to BS 476-24:1987. Firemac FM Blue single-skin ductwork systems provide up to four hours' fire resistance (stability and integrity), with limited insulation. Firemac FM Blue ducts insulated with rock mineral wool provide up to four hours' fire resistance (four hours stability and integrity, and two hours insulation). Firemac FM Blue ducts may also be suitable for smoke extract or kitchen extract systems.

An appraisal of the range of duct systems, which includes a summary of the supporting test evidence, has been issued by Exova Warringtonfire. A copy of the report is available on request.

FIRE PERFORMANCE OF FIREMAC FM BLUE BUILDING SERVICES ENCLOSURES

Firemac FM Blue enclosures for building services will prevent the spread of fire in a building from one compartment to another, and from within the enclosure to a fire compartment, with fire resistance for up to four hours (integrity and insulation) to BS 476-20:1987. An appraisal of the range of service enclosure systems, which includes a summary of the supporting test evidence, has been issued by Exova Warringtonfire. A copy of the report is available on request.

IMPACT AND CROWD PRESSURE TESTING OF FIREMAC FM BLUE
BS 5234-2 comprises a series of tests which examine a partition systems' suitability for a given partition duty. EEach test method is specific for the duty grade required, and has strict acceptance criteria: demonstration of partition stiffness; hard body impact; soft body impact; door slamming; and measurement of deformation and damage to the partition system.

Firemac FM Blue has successfully passed BS 5234-2, and satisfies the performance requirements for severe duty and the maximum crowd pressure rating.
