  • Firemac FM Blue, tested to BS476-22:1987 was used to fabricate a protected stairwell for emergency egress within Tower Hill Station. This is a double-skin insulated wall which has also been tested to EN 1364-1 and UL 263 (insulation, integrity, and hose stream).
  • Here East is the new digital quarter for east London, and the former Press and Broadcast Centres for the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games. This major new development will create a thriving commercial space providing more than 7,500 jobs on-site and in the local community. Firemac FM Blue has been used to provide over 1,000 m² of fire protected ceilings.

Tottenham Court Road Ticket Hall
Location: London, United Kingdom

Firemac FM Blue, coated in blue London Underground colours, was used to create temporary hoardings, lobby enclosures, security walls, and ceilings.

Sea Containers House Basement Fire Ducts
Location: London, United Kingdom

Sea Containers House is an iconic building overlooking the River Thames in London. As part of its redevelopment, Firemac FM Blue was fabricated into large fire ducts to provide a smoke clearance system with two hours' fire protection, and installed in the basement and loading bay.

Tower Hill Protected Staircase

Firemac FM Blue was installed as a double-skin insulated wall to provide a two-hour fire protected stairway. The wall was also required to satisfy the impact and crowd pressure performance criteria of BS 5234.

Here East

Firemac FM Blue has been used to provide one-hour fire protection for ceilings in the development of Here East on the site of the London 2012 Olympic Park. It will be the biggest Technology Innovation Centre ever built in Europe.

Cannon Street
Location: London, United Kingdom

Firemac FM Blue was used in a fire resistant passenger tunnel in London Underground’s re-development of Cannon Street Station. In addition to the fire protection that FM Blue demonstrates, the board is demountable to allow access, or in the case of the temporary passageway constructed in Cannon Street, can be used to maintain safe zones within a construction area. This allows the function of the building to continue with minimal disruption.
